Gabriel F. Rizzo, DC, CFMP®, ABAAHP
Dr. Rizzo is the Clinical Director and founding physician of Alpha Care, a Florida-licensed chiropractic physician, and a physician-level integrative provider. He has built Alpha Care around a broader vision of clinical care that brings metabolic endocrinology, hormone optimization, functional medicine, sports injury care, and clinical nutrition together in one connected model. His Florida license supports comprehensive evaluation and diagnosis, laboratory and diagnostic assessment, phlebotomy, physical medicine, clinical nutrition, and individualized nonprescription treatment.
He is a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Anti-Aging Health Practitioners (ABAAHP), a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner (CFMP®), and holds physiotherapy certification through the NBCE and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology. Dr. Rizzo has completed accredited fellowship modules in Advanced Endocrinology and Metabolic Cardiology through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) as part of its Metabolic Medicine Fellowship Program, with accredited postdoctoral education through the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. His extensive postdoctoral education also includes functional medicine, clinical nutrition, nutritional biochemistry, and medical nutrition therapy. He has completed the specialty requirements in clinical nutrition and medical nutrition therapy needed to sit for the American Clinical Board of Nutrition Diplomate examination, which he expects to take in September 2026.
Dr. Rizzo leads sports injury care, functional medicine, hormone optimization, and metabolic care at Alpha Care. His approach begins with listening closely, understanding what has already been tried, and connecting symptoms, examination findings, laboratory patterns, body systems, and patient goals. When prescription medication is part of care, he works directly with the clinic's licensed prescribing clinicians so clinical direction, prescription management, and ongoing follow-up remain part of one coordinated integrative plan.
His research on micronutrient and adaptogen support in men undergoing testosterone replacement therapy has been published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Nutritional Perspectives.
A former high-level competitive powerlifter, Dr. Rizzo broke multiple national and state records, briefly holding the USPA American Record in both the squat and the bench press. He understands the importance of proper rehabilitation for injury recovery, prevention, and performance, and is now focused on delivering world-class care and better approaches to health care for generations to come. He continues to train, and has picked up Brazilian jiu-jitsu and boxing.
